Copper coffee pot
Copper coffee pots are now a collectible item originally
made in early America, Ireland, England and other countries. Today,
most copper coffee pots serve primarily a decorative purpose. With the
ease of use of the modern coffee maker, the copper coffee pot has been
relegated to the collector’s shelf as a display only item. Copper
coffee pots have many variations. Some of these are included in the
following examples:
• Mug-type: some copper coffee
pots have a flip top, reminiscent of German beer mugs.
• Ancient styles: there are many primitive-looking copper coffee
pots which may have actually been used for other purposes, although
they are advertised as being primitive or ancient copper coffee pots.
These usually have less detail and a heavy patina.
•Pitcher look: this looks most like a copper water pitcher and
is a familiar type of antique coffee pot.
Copper coffee pots are desirable collectibles and make for great conversation
pieces when guests arrive. If you are looking for just the right collectible
for a kitchen or dining room shelf, a copper coffee pot is a great option.
Copper coffee pots bespeak the charm and nostalgia of the past.
